Ralo data
The City Rate Index
A daily dataset of illustrative mortgage rates and APRs by county, credit-score band (660–780), and down-payment tier (5% and 20% down), priced from Ralo's live pricing engine for California, Colorado, and Texas. National rate averages hide the spread that matters: the same borrower profile prices differently by county, and the same county prices differently by credit band. This index publishes those differences as data.

How it is built
On business days, Ralo prices a grid of standard scenarios per county — credit scores 660, 700, 740, and 780, at 5% and 20% down, on 30-year fixed, plus 15-year fixed and ARM pricing for the 740-score, 20%-down scenario — against its live wholesale pricing engine, using each county's canonical median home price as the loan basis. Counties rotate so every grid is re-priced within about a week. The same data powers the live rate modules on Ralo's city pages and ZIP pages. Rates are illustrative examples, not a loan approval, rate lock, or commitment. Actual rates depend on credit score, LTV, occupancy, lock period, and loan amount. Ralo is an automated mortgage broker — not a lender — available where licensed: California, Colorado, and Texas.
